Frenchay Campus
Our main campus and home to our Business, Law, Engineering and Science students. We have a welcoming and friendly student village on Frenchay campus, a vibrant community of nearly 2,000 students. 15 minutes bus ride from the city centre. Here you’ll find our Students Union, 24/7 Library, sports facilities, shops and numerous cafes, bars and restaurants. There’s plenty of open space on campus: trails where bees thrive, community gardens, even spots to pick some fresh herbs to throw in your pasta. Just a short walk from campus is Stoke Park Estate, a sprawling historic park that is popular and free to access.

Glenside Campus
Set in picturesque grounds in Fishponds, 15 minutes bus ride from the city centre and home to our allied health, nursing and midwifery students. With a wide range of health and social care disciplines taught under one roof, Glenside Campus is dedicated to health and wellbeing, where students are supported to thrive. Frenchay Campus is only a quick bus ride or 30 minute walk away for a visit to the Students' Union, Centre for Sport and other fantastic facilities.

City Campus
City Campus is UWE Bristol's creative and cultural industries campus made up of city centre sites at Bower Ashton, Spike Island, Arnolfini and Watershed. Our quality partnerships underpin learning experiences and provide places where students, staff and industry professionals can share ideas and develop their talents in inspiring locations.


History

UWE Bristol was formerly known as Bristol Society of Merchant Venturers’ Navigation School back in 1595 and where it gradually changed names, being partly responsible with the creation of some colleges like BCST, and being granted university status.
